Event Details

The Denver metro area boasts abundant fruit trees and vines located in yards, alleys and public areas, yet much of this fruit is never harvested and often left to rot.  Slow Food Denver, in conjunction with Yard Harvest and History Colorado have put together a program to harvest the fruit, process the fruit by canning, and donate a portion of the processed fruit to Project Angel Heart.

Denver Yard Harvest volunteers have harvested apricots, cherries and plums!  Please join us for a Community Canning Workshop to create apricot jam, cherry preserves and asian plum sauce.  A portion of the preserved harvest will be donated to Project Angel Heart.

Please wear closed-toe shoes - no sandals or flip-flops in the kitchen!  See you on July 15!
